Tyrolean fossil oil (Tiroler Steinöl, also known as "Tyrolean oil"), is a black substance with a very intense odor formed millions of years ago, following the death and decomposition of animal and plant organisms that were deposited at the bottom of prehistoric oceans. In less remote times, it was often used as a natural remedy by folk medicine. Its use as a therapeutic oil dates back to the Middle Ages. Although its origins date back to the origins of the Earth, it is still possible to enjoy the benefits of this amazing substance thanks to the efforts of a passionate geologist, Martin Albrecht.

The benefits of Tyrolean shale oil
The active ingredient of Tyrolean fossil oil is leached ammonium sulfonic acid. This substance has proven effective in treating some types of dermatitis, boils, (acne), abscesses or psoriasis. Tyrolean idiol is therefore often used in the form of an ointment or ointment for topical use, as it facilitates the healing of suppurative skin lesions. Several studies have also highlighted an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-irritant and bacteriostatic action. It is effective against Gram-positive bacteria and is used in combination with glycerin to treat ear infections.
