Advantages of heating with pellets

Independence

Pellets are produced from virgin wood and constitute a valid alternative to the import of expensive materials such as fuel oil and gas. What's more, their production is not affected by energy crises on the global market.

Economy

2 kg of pellets correspond approximately to the calorific value of 1 liter of heating oil. The higher purchase costs of a pellet heating system are quickly amortized thanks to the provincial contribution granted by the Energy Savings Office (in areas where it is not possible to activate a connection for district heating) and to the lower prices of pellets compared to to other fuels.

Comfort

Pellets, like fuel oil and liquid gas, are delivered to your home by tanker and stored directly in the storage room. The 30 meter long flexible hose and the powerful draft blower allow our trucks to reach even difficult-to-access warehouses. In this case, if indicated when ordering, it is also possible to use a 50 meter long flexible hose. We also use a suction device capable of eliminating air and dust from the warehouse, thus avoiding any contamination of the product (provided that your storage room is designed to be airtight).
The ease of use of pellet heating systems is in no way inferior to that of traditional systems. The industrial production of pellets guarantees constant product quality (in terms of moisture content, diameter, calorific value, etc.) and safe and reliable operation of the system in relation to the constant and high energy production during combustion.

Eco-compatibility

Unlike other fuels, wood burns CO2 neutrally. This means that during combustion the same amount of CO2 is released into the air as is stored in the wood during its growth. Wood pellets do not contain chemical or synthetic additives that can be released during combustion. Beikircher Grünland pellets are produced, as far as possible, from local raw materials. This other aspect of the eco-compatibility of pellets favors the local economy by ensuring jobs in the area.

Quality

Beikircher wood pellets are produced and tested in accordance with the Austrian standard ÖNORM M7135 or DIN Plus. These certifications generally establish certain requirements regarding the dimensions, specific weight, calorific value and residual moisture of the pellets to guarantee customers the correct functioning of your pellet heating system.

Pellets also for wood chip heating systems

Wood chip heating systems can also be powered by pellets. Wood pellets are essentially characterized by the fact that they require less storage space (equal to approximately one fifth of the volume of wood chips). The entire quantity of pellets can be purchased in summer at affordable prices. Thanks to the reduced residual humidity, regulated dimensions and uniform combustion, wood pellets are a valid alternative to wood chips.

The delivery of the pellets

Pellet delivery is carried out via our modern fleet of tankers. All trucks are equipped with a duly calibrated weighing system.
IMPORTANT: During the storage of the material in the warehouse the heating system must be kept off!

Wood pellets also available in bags

For your small supplies of pellets, practical 15kg nylon bags are also available. This way you can take advantage of all the advantages of pellet heating without having to purchase large quantities all at once. The bags are always available at our stores. If you purchase at least one pallet of pellets we can deliver the order to you with our crane trucks.
1 pallet of pellets is made up of 66 bags of 15 kg each, for a total of 990 kg.
