- Shipping costs start at €11 and vary according to weight and destination. For cash on delivery purchases there is an additional cost of €7.50.

KOFASIL® STABIL is a silage salt solution designed to ensure the aerobic stability of silages, especially during feed-out. Even well-fermented silages are at risk of quality loss when exposed to air, often resulting in reheating and mold formation. This applies to all energy-rich silages, including those made from grass, legumes, cereals, corn, brewery residues, distillers’ grains, and sugar beet pulp.
By combining good silage practices with the use of KOFASIL® STABIL, farmers can produce hygienic, high-energy silage that is ideal for Total Mixed Ration (TMR) feeding. The product contains sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate—two food-grade active ingredients known for their highly effective protection against yeasts and molds.
KOFASIL® STABIL can be applied either as a surface treatment for the upper third of the silo or as a full-treatment solution, depending on the forage type. For silage intended for summer feeding, we recommend treating the entire batch. The dosage is low: 1 to 2 liters per ton of forage is sufficient. Even farms with low-output dosing equipment can benefit from KOFASIL® STABIL’s reliable preservation properties.
Scientific tests confirm KOFASIL® STABIL significantly reduces energy losses and enhances hygienic quality. Benefits include better feed palatability, improved intake, and more efficient fermentation for biogas. The product is non-corrosive, non-aggressive, and not classified as hazardous, making it safe and easy to handle. It can be applied directly during harvesting and is compatible with all high-quality dosing equipment, including the modular systems from SILA GmbH.
