Frame knurling tool is one of the fundamental tools for the practice of beekeeping. Every beekeeper must have this tool which is as simple as it is indispensable to be able to prepare the nest frames and hives to host a new nucleus as well as the super frames to organize the production of honey.
After having provided the reinforcement of the frame, which consists of inserting the stainless or galvanized wire into the wooden frame, the knurling tool is used to corrugate this wire. Waving the wires of the frames has the double function of tightening them, an operation that is sometimes difficult to do with the armor and also of increasing the contact surface with the sheet and reducing the blade effect, improving its seal
