The artificial drying method using hot air allows green fodder to be prepared in optimal times while minimizing the influence of the weather on freshly cut fodder.
The fodder is quickly introduced into the dryer to make the humidity level at appropriate levels to ensure perfect preservation.
This avoids losses of nutritional value as would happen to traditional hay in the field.
The final product obtained is characterized by a higher nutritional value than traditional hay, with a fiber that is easily degradable in the intestine and without the presence of harmful microorganisms such as mould.
During processing, the hay is mixed with cereals, obtaining the characteristic wafer which, unlike pellets, maintains the long fiber to facilitate chewing.
