AdBlue-EFFINOX is a clear and pure aqueous solution composed of demineralized water (67.5%) and urea (32.5%). It is biodegradable, water-soluble, and non-polluting. The main active ingredient is ammonia, chemically produced from automotive urea, a key raw material in AdBlue production.
AdBlue is used in diesel vehicles equipped with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology. It is injected into the SCR catalyst, converting up to 85% of nitrogen oxides (NOx) into water vapor and harmless nitrogen.
EFFINOX works like AdBlue but includes an additive that prevents urea deposits in SCR systems, especially during low-temperature operation or low-load driving. This prevents cyanuric acid crystal formation, which can block the SCR system, increase fuel consumption, require additional maintenance, or immobilize the vehicle.
Regular use of EFFINOX cleans injectors and improves spray patterns, ensuring complete reactions even at lower temperatures.
