The D-Ring Sweet Iron double jointed anatomical bit for horses is designed to ensure a stable and comfortable position in the horse’s mouth. The D-ring shape prevents the bit from being pulled through the mouth, providing balanced guidance and secure control.
Waldhausen’s anatomically shaped Sweet Iron bits feature a mouthpiece that is adapted to the natural shape of the horse’s mouth. Sweet Iron is made of blued steel which begins to oxidize when it comes into contact with air moisture. This natural process creates a sweet-tasting brownish-gray surface rust that stimulates saliva production in horses. Increased salivation leads to more foaming, which improves bit acceptance.
Thanks to the combination of an anatomical shape and Sweet Iron material, this bit offers a more natural mouth feel and supports smoother communication between horse and rider.
